Description

Having a proven and reliable canvas protector to hand is super-important.

Fabsil’s canvas protector is an excellent waterproofing treatment

Keeping a canvas tent resistant to both water and UV will absolutely increase the lifespan of the tent. It will also heavily reduce the likelihood of mildew formation.

Here’s What We Love About Fabsil’s Canvas Protector

  • Easy to apply
  • Good coverage-to-price ratio
  • 5 litres is enough to treat one 5m bell tent once
  • Includes a UV treatment
  • Increases the lifespan of the tent

Fabsil’s universal protector with UV is an easy to apply waterproofing agent that’s very well suited to canvas tents. We have tried and tested may over the years and have always come back to Fabsil.

Once applied, the liquid replicates the original water-repellent finish found on the equipment when it was new.

Additionally, it adds UV protection which means your tent really is protected come rain or shine. UV radiation from the sun is known to breakdown the treatments in canvas tents over time, and so it is important to re-treat the canvas regularly to protect against UV degradation.

Trusted by professionals and outdoor enthusiasts for years, Fabsil Universal Protector is a high-performance, waterproofing treatment.

How to Apply Fabsil’s Canvas Protector

The instructions on the can will tell you to apply using a brush, cloth or sponge. But we found a better way when applying it to bell tents (quicker too). This way achieves the same excellent results.

  1. Pitch the tent on a dry day – preferably with little to no wind!
  2. Using a mild detergent specifically intended for canvas, spot clean any areas that require a clean first and allow the tent to dry.
  3. Pour 5 litres of the protector into a pressurised container.
  4. Spray a fine coating over the entirety of the outside of the tent, paying particular attention to the *roof, then walls, then door.

*To reach the top of the tent’s roof, it may be necessary to drop part of the tent to the ground.

Each can contains 5 litres of Fabsil Canvas Protector
